Museums

Two small community museums in Middle Bay and Saint-Paul’s River tell the local story.

Summer

Bonne-Espérance has two community museums open during the summer months, in Middle Bay and Saint-Paul's River. These cultural sites tell the region's history through exhibits on fishing, pioneer families, traditional lifestyles, and local heritage. Each museum also houses a café where visitors can enjoy a home-cooked lunch or dinner in a friendly atmosphere. In addition to a glimpse into the past, they offer warmth and local cuisine—a great summer stop for exploring the Lower North Shore.
